Leading Media company is looking to recruit a technically strong Financial Controller. Based in London, this is a 12 month contract role and offers hybrid working 3 days in the office.
As Financial Controller, key responsibilities will include:
*Preparing annual statutory accounts
*Liaising with external auditors and dealing with audit queries
*Coordinating quarterly SOX testing
*Identifying any control risks and implementing required solutions
*Ensuring monthly management accounts are prepared accurately and to month end timetable
*Reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Providing monthly reports to aid decision making
*Managing and coaching finance staff
*Ad hoc tasks as required
The candidate:
*Practice trained accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
*Technically strong accounting skills including IFRS and US Gaap
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to prioritise workload and work to tight deadlines
*Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously
*Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a high performing team
*Advanced IT skills
