Are you a reliable and proactive caretaker looking for your next opportunity? We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Caretaker / Premises Assistant to join a busy premises team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across the site. This is a 3 month contract starting ASAP.
The RoleAs part of the premises team, you’ll support the efficient and effective running of the site by ensuring high standards of health & safety, security, maintenance, cleaning, and porterage. You’ll also assist with facilities support for external bookings and events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.
*Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a safe, secure, and well-presented site at all times
*Carry out regular inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
*Perform light DIY and decorating tasks to maintain the building’s appearance
*Set up halls and shared spaces for daily use and external events
*Undertake cleaning duties, including periodic deep cleans, to a high standard
*Act as a key holder and respond to call-outs when required
*Assist with deliveries, furniture movement, and general site duties
*Provide on-site support during events and lettings (some evening/weekend work required)
*Operate site equipment and ensure it is properly maintained
*Act as a Fire Marshal and uphold health & safety compliance
