Paraplanner – Hybrid | Holistic Financial Planning | Up to £48K | Birmingham

The Paraplanner plays a pivotal role in ensuring advice is precise, compliant, and fully aligned with each client’s unique objectives.
The Paraplanner supports Advisers in delivering high-quality, independent financial planning by preparing technically sound reports, conducting in-depth research, and ensuring each recommendation is backed by analysis and regulatory standards. The role suits someone who enjoys contributing meaningfully behind the scenes while helping clients achieve long-term financial wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
*Draft clear, FCA-compliant suitability reports for areas such as investments, pensions, protection, estate, and tax planning
*Conduct detailed technical research to support financial recommendations
*Interpret fact-finds, cashflow models, attitude to risk assessments, and client goals
*Carry out cashflow modelling and scenario planning to demonstrate potential outcomes
*Liaise with product providers, clients, and support teams to ensure data accuracy and report completeness
*Maintain a thorough understanding of tax legislation, investment structures, and planning opportunities
*Contribute to refining internal processes and improving client outcomes
Required Skills & Experience
*Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent)
*Strong technical knowledge of UK financial products and services
*Experience using financial planning software (e.g., Voyant, FE Analytics, Intelliflo Office)
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*High attention to detail, with strong organisational and analytical skills
