Job Description:
This role requires a meticulous Financial Accountant to contribute to the success of a Financial Services organisation by managing financial reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will be qualified, with proven experience in leading Tax processes within a large organisation.

Description
Financial Accountant duties include;
*Prepare monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving issues promptly
*Prepare and manage accurate financial statements and reports
*Oversee and lead all group tax processes, including corporation tax returns, VAT and CT61 submissions
*Assess impacts of new tax regulations
*Lead the preparation of year-end financial accounts, supporting a smooth audit process.
*Monitor and analyse financial data to identify trends and variances.
*Drive initiatives across management accounts to challenge existing processes and enhance controls
*Maintain clear accounting and financial reporting process documentation, providing continuous analytical support to the wider finance team
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
*A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. (Fully Qualified)
*Tax qualification desirable
*Proven experience leading tax processes in large organisations
*Background in Finance within regulated industries (Financial Services/Insurance preferred)
*Advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)
*Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
*High attention to detail and accuracy in all work
*Strong communicator, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
