Employee Relations/People Advisor
Location: Camberley
Salary: £35,000-£40,000
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Relations / People Advisor to join our People team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong working relationships, providing sound HR advice, and ensuring a fair, consistent approach to people management across the business.
You’ll be the go-to expert for all employee relations matters, supporting managers with complex casework while also contributing to wider HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of ER issues, including disciplinary, grievance, capability, absence management, and performance.
Manage and support end-to-end ER casework, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, company policy, and best practice.
Coach and upskill line managers to handle people matters confidently and effectively.
Support HR projects and initiatives, such as engagement, wellbeing, and policy development.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records and produce HR metrics or reports as required.
Work collaboratively with other HR team members to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery.
Keep up to date with changes in employment law and best practice, advising on implications for policies and procedures.
Key Skills & Experience
Previous experience in an HR Advisor or ER-focused role, ideally within a fast-paced environment.
Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Proven experience managing complex ER cases from start to resolution.
Excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
Confident using HR systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Qualifications
CIPD Level 5 (or working towards) preferred.
Evidence of continuous professional development in HR or employment law.
