We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a well-regarded specialist school in Sheffield. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a significant impact in the lives of young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), including those who are non-verbal or have significant communication challenges.

Day-to-day of the role:*Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with ASD and communication difficulties.
*Utilise alternative communication methods (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC) to support non-verbal pupils.
*Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver consistent and meaningful support.
*Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:*Experience working with children or young people with ASD and/or communication needs.
*A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
*Knowledge of or willingness to learn communication strategies such as PECS or Makaton.
*A team player who is flexible and committed to supporting every child’s potential.
