The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Grays area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Hours: Nights across Monday to Sunday - up to 5/6 shifts a week (weekends included) on a rota basis.
Pay Rate:
Class 2
Days - £15.30 per hour rising to £16.05 after 12 weeks PAYE
Nights - £17.50 per hour rising to £18.20 after 12 weeks PAYE


Class 1
Days - £16.92 per hour rising to £17.62 after 12 weeks PAYE
Nights - £18.16 per hour rising to £18.86 after 12 weeks PAYE

The role:
· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
· Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
· Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
· Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
· Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
· No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
· Full understanding of WTD legislation.
· Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A safety-first mindset.
