The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Aylesford area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 and Class 2 Drivers to join the team.
Hours: shifts across Monday to Sunday, Nights (Sunday, Monday and Fridays are required)
Pay Rate:
Class 2
Nights - £15.95 per hour rising to £16.65 per hour PAYE
Class 1
Nights - £17.57 per hour rising to £18.32 per hour PAYE
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
*Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance.
*Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
*Handling runs with 4-5 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
*Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
*Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
*Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
*No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
*Full understanding of WTD legislation.
*Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
*Excellent communication skills.
*A safety-first mindset.
