Job Description:
The Role
On behalf of our client we are seeking a Compliance Administrator. In this role you’ll play a vital role in protecting their clients, company, and the wider property market from financial crime. You’ll be part of a busy, friendly team that supports the conveyancing department in meeting its regulatory and legislative obligations around Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF) and Counter Proliferation Financing (CPF).
It’s a challenging and fast-paced role – you’ll speak directly with clients to verify where their money is coming from, often guiding them through what can feel like a sensitive or confusing process. Confidence, clarity and compassion are
Key Responsibilities
*Verify the Source of Funds and Origin of Wealth for property transactions, following UK AML laws and internal policies.
*Communicate with clients and third parties (e.g. friends and family members gifting money) to obtain required documents and explanations.
*Record findings accurately and flag any concerns to fee earners.
*Handle sensitive conversations with professionalism and tact.
*Adapt quickly to different client circumstances and maintain high attention to detail under time pressure.


The Person
Essential:
*Minimum 5 GCSEs including Maths & English (or equivalent).
*Strong attention to detail and ability to follow a process.
*Excellent written and oral communication skills.
*Confidence speaking on the phone, especially with difficult or hesitant clients.
*Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
*Ability to stay calm under pressure and work to tight deadlines.
*Team player who can also work independently.
Desirable:
*Experience in a legal, compliance or customer service role.
*Experience handling confidential information.
*Familiarity with conveyancing processes.
*Knowledge of AML legislation and regulatory requirements (especially LSAG AML Guidance for the Legal Sector 2023).

Central Bristol, no car parking, hybrid working available 1- 2 days per week


The Hours:
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm


The Benefits:
25 days holiday + bank holidays (additional 1 per year after 3 years up to 5 days, 3 days to be saved for Christmas and New Year + Birthday additional day, pension, BUPA
