Job Title: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part time, Permanent
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)
About the Role:
We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and enthusiastic English Teacher to join thriving secondary schools in Basingstoke. The school is part of a network of Good and Outstanding Ofsted-rated schools, offering a supportive and forward-thinking environment for both staff and students.
This role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching journey in a nurturing and high-achieving setting.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons across KS3 and KS4.
*Support students in developing strong literacy and analytical skills.
*Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to aid student development.
*Contribute to curriculum planning and enrichment activities.
*Work collaboratively with a team of dedicated educators.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it.
*A degree in English or a related subject.
*A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
*Strong classroom management and communication skills.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
