Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Tax Director to join our clients dynamic and growing team. This pivotal role involves supporting the corporate tax compliance team with complex technical queries and leading a variety of advisory projects. Day-to-day of the role:
*Technical Support & Compliance Oversight: Serve as a senior technical resource for the corporate tax compliance team, guiding on complex tax matters and ensuring high-quality delivery.
*Tax Advisory Projects: Lead and support a wide range of advisory assignments including restructures, group planning, transactions, international tax issues, and R&D claims.
*Business Development: Engage in networking, attend industry events, prepare proposals, and identify new business opportunities, both independently and in collaboration with other service lines.
*Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a mentor and technical coach, supporting and developing a growing team, and encouraging knowledge sharing across the service line.
*Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, proactively responding to needs and delivering high-quality planning and advisory services.
*Team & Project Management: Lead engagements, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate team efforts to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
*Collaboration & Innovation: Collaborate closely with partners, directors, and other service lines to deliver holistic solutions to clients and seek innovative approaches to complex tax challenges.
*External Networking: Establish and maintain a network of external contacts, stay updated with market developments, and promote the firm’s capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA or CTA
*Experience: Significant experience in corporate tax, with a proven track record in both compliance and advisory work.
*Leadership Skills: Strong people management skills and experience in mentoring or leading teams.
*Business Development: Commercial mindset with a passion for business development and a demonstrated ability to spot and convert fee-generating opportunities.
*Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – open, approachable, and able to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
*Client Focus: Strong client service ethic with the ability to anticipate client needs and provide solutions.
*Knowledge: Robust technical knowledge in corporate tax, and an understanding of economic and business factors affecting clients.
*Collaboration: A team player who actively supports others and contributes to a positive team culture.
