Job Title: Private Client Solicitor/CILEx
Location: Harrogate
An established and reputable law firm based in Harrogate is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its well-regarded Estate Planning team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and client-focused individual to handle a diverse caseload, including Wills, Trusts, Estate Administration and Inheritance Tax Planning, within a supportive and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Private Client Solicitor to manage private client matters to the highest standards of client care and professionalism
*Administer estates, including the calculation of inheritance tax liabilities and ensuring that applications for any relevant reliefs are made accurately and promptly
*Progress client work from initial instruction to completion, including drafting documentation and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of all allocated tasks
*Work to agreed billing targets, time recording standards and aged debt control measures
*Supervise legal assistants through regular review meetings to discuss performance, development and wellbeing
*Support the Head of Private Client and other Fee Earners to help achieve the firm’s overall strategic objectives
*Participate in the firm’s client development and marketing initiatives to promote the firm’s services and reputation
*Keep up to date with developments in the law, maintaining responsibility for ongoing professional development and ensuring compliance with CPD requirements

*Private Client Solicitor/CILEx with strong interpersonal skills

*Proactive, detail-oriented and professional approach
*Computer literate with excellent IT skills
*Strong presentation and marketing skills
*Confidence in networking and business development activities
Qualifications/Experience:
*Qualified Private Client Solicitor, CILEx, or equivalent with at least 5 years’ PQE, or a proven track record of extensive and relevant experience
Desirable:
*STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) membership
*Membership of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers
