Job Description:
SF Recruitment are working with a fledgling distributor & retailer to recruit a Purchasing & supply chain manager. This is a new role to assume responsibility of the procurement & supply chain function within the organisation.
This is a senior-level post responsible for end-to-end purchasing activity across the full product catalogue. The role involves managing an existing network of suppliers located in the UK, mainland Europe, Eastern Europe and Asia, ensuring consistent stock availability and strengthening supply performance over time.
Duties:
*Overseeing all procurement activity across multiple categories within bathrooms, plumbing and heating.
*Managing a sizeable supplier portfolio across international regions, maintaining productive long-term relationships.
*Ensuring smooth supply chain continuity and contributing to operational improvement.
*Working closely with internal sales teams, using strong negotiation skills in multi-cultural environments.
*Travelling periodically to visit suppliers for relationship management and product assurance.
*Applying logistics and supply chain knowledge to support reliable inbound stock and timely movement of goods.
Skillset Requirements:
Proven experience negotiating with suppliers and building strong international partnerships.
Background in procurement or supply chain roles linked to retail, FMCG, Distribution.
Understanding of international logistics and global sourcing.
