Finance Manager
North Manchester – On site

£60,000 – £65,000 + Bonus
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to join a highly successful multimillion turnover business based in North Manchester. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Financial Controller, responsible for overseeing financial operations, compliance, and strategic planning across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
?? Audit & Financial Reporting
*Lead internal and external audit processes
*Prepare audit schedules and liaise with auditors
*Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounts and reconciliations
?? Taxation & HMRC Compliance
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Ensure compliance with Excise Duty regulations
*Act as primary contact for HMRC queries and audits
?? Foreign Exchange & Treasury
*Monitor FX exposures and execute hedging strategies
*Manage multi-currency cash positions to optimise working capital
?? Investments & Cash Flow
*Execute and reconcile money market investments
*Prepare cash flow forecasts and variance analysis
*Recommend improvements to capital efficiency
?? Compliance & Controls
*Maintain and enhance financial controls
*Support statutory filings and regulatory reporting
*Assist in implementing compliance frameworks
?? Finance System Development
*Review and assess finance systems for capability and futureproofing
*Support implementation of new systems
Candidate Profile:
*Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
*Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in financial accounting in a large UK business
*Strong knowledge of UK tax rules, VAT, and Excise Duties
*Experience with HMRC and audit processes
*Advanced Excel and financial systems proficiency, Power BI would be advantageous
*Strong team leadership, communication, and analytical skills
