Interim Year-End Financial Accountant


Location: Near Biggleswade, Beds
Contract: Fixed Term Contract – 3 Months Initially
Salary / Rate: £50,000 – 60,000 pro rata
Start Date: Immediate


I am seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join my clients finance team on a 3-month fixed-term contract (initially) to support the Finance Teams through the year-end reporting cycle.
You will be available immediately and able to travel to the client site at least 3 days a week.
This hands-on role requires a self-starter who is happy to roll their sleeves up and get into the detail. The ideal candidate will be confident working in a fast-paced environment and able to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities
*Support in the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory financial statements.
*Assist with audit preparation, liaising with external auditors and ensuring all documentation is ready and accurate.
*Complete month-end and year-end close tasks, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
*Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
*Assist in strengthening internal financial controls and process improvements.
*Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support as required.
About You
*Fully qualified accountant or qualified by experience - both considered.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, the ability to work independently at times.
*Confident communicator.
