Job Description:
Structural Site Agent
*Annual Salary: From £63,000pa plus bonus
*Location: Norwich
*Job Type: Full-time
Reed Engineering are working with an amazing company who are looking for a Structural Site Agent to lead their team in Norwich. This pivotal role involves managing the execution of structural projects, ensuring high standards in design, safety, quality, and environmental management.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Team Leadership: Oversee and support the site team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among engineers, supervisors, and client representatives.
*Design Oversight: Manage the integration of design solutions, ensuring they are accurate from the start and require no mid-project modifications. Oversee the creation and management of temporary works design briefs.
*Project Planning: Develop detailed project forecasts, monitor actual progress against the plans, and keep all stakeholders informed.
*Commercial Oversight: Draft and review subcontract scopes during the tender process, assist in the evaluation of subcontractor performance, and manage financial transactions and agreements.
*Quality Assurance: Cultivate a team culture that prioritizes high quality standards and understands the importance of maintaining these standards throughout the project.
*Health, Safety, and Environmental Leadership: Set an example in health, safety, and environmental practices. Conduct regular reviews and take action to uphold and enhance safety and environmental protocols.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, or an HND in Civil Engineering with relevant training.
*Excellent communication skills, able to effectively interact with a diverse range of team members and stakeholders.
*Comprehensive understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
*Familiarity with construction contracts, preferably ECC NEC4.
*Working towards or holding a Professional Industry Qualification (IEng, CEng, etc.).
*Competent in using digital tools such as MS Office 365 and project management software.
*Certified training in Health & Safety and Environmental management (SMSTS).
*CSCS Card.
*Proven experience in managing structural projects.
