SEN Teacher – Post-16 Provision (KS3–KS5)
Location: Sheffield
Start Date: January 2026
Contract Type: Full-Time
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people with complex needs? We are seeking a dedicated educator to join a well-established special school in Sheffield, working within its vibrant Post-16 provision.
This specialist setting caters to students aged 11–19 with a range of additional needs. The school is known for its nurturing environment, expert staff, and commitment to inclusive education. With a student-teacher ratio of approximately 7:1, teachers are empowered to deliver highly personalised learning experiences that support both academic and personal development.
The school has recently received a "Good" rating across all areas in its May 2024 Ofsted inspection, including quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, and sixth form provision. Inspectors praised the school’s thoughtful approach to supporting SEND learners and its strong culture of respect and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
*Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5 within the Post-16 provision.
*Support students with PMLD and PD in achieving their individual learning goals.
*Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create inclusive learning environments.
*Contribute to the development of EHCPs and personalised learning plans.
Requirements:
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
*Proven experience working with students with complex SEND needs.
*Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
