Job Description:
SEN Teaching Assistant - KS2 Class-Based Autism Support - Haringey A well-resourced Primary School in the London Borough of Haringey is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in KS2 with Autism. This SEN Teaching Assistant role begins ASAP and is full-time for the academic year.
The SEN Teaching Assistant will support pupils both in the classroom and during small targeted sessions. Many of the pupils benefit from structure, sensory routines, and modelling of social communication. The school offers ongoing training and a collaborative SEN team, making it an excellent environment for an SEN Teaching Assistant who wants to progress.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Supporting KS2 pupils with Autism through structured tasks
* Encouraging engagement and confidence during lessons
* Providing regulated sensory or movement breaks
* Working with speech and language or behaviour staff when required
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant Profile:
* Experience in supporting Autism in a school or similar setting
* Strong communication and calm behaviour management
* A consistent and encouraging approach
Role Summary:

* Pay: £90-£110 per day
* Contract: Long-term
