About the Role: As a Supply Cover Supervisor, you’ll step into the classroom in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task. You won’t be required to plan lessons — your role is to deliver pre-prepared work, manage the classroom, and maintain a positive learning environment.
You’ll gain invaluable experience across different schools, subjects, and year groups, making every day varied and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities: * Supervise classes during teacher absences, following set lesson plans.
* Manage student behaviour in line with school policies.
* Support students in completing assigned work.
* Ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment.
* Liaise with school staff and report back on student progress or issues.
About You: * Confident, resilient, and able to manage a classroom effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience working with young people (in education, youth work, coaching, or similar) is an advantage.
* A genuine interest in education and supporting student learning.
* Flexible and reliable, with the ability to adapt quickly to new settings.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
