Credit Controller
Location: Trafford Park
Salary: up to circa £32,000
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Credit Control Specialist to join a high-growth, FMCG business. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in strengthening financial operations within a dynamic and growing organisation.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of customer payments, maintaining customer accounts and driving effective cash collection. You’ll work closely with internal teams and customers to optimise cash flow, maintain financial accuracy and contribute to the business’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities:
*Process daily bank transactions and ensure accurate reconciliation through the ERP system.
*Monitor customer accounts, ensuring prompt collection of outstanding balances.
*Conduct regular follow-ups on overdue accounts and produce weekly statements.
*Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or short payments.
*Reconcile accounts receivable ledgers and maintain up-to-date records.
*Collaborate with sales, customer service, and finance teams to resolve invoicing issues.
*Prepare and present account status reports and aging analyses for management review.
*Provide monthly analysis of aged debtors and customer payment performance.
*Support the Financial Controller with audits, month-end close and continuous process improvements.
Skills & Attributes:
*Experience within a stock centric business is desirable
*Strong Excel skills
*High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
*Proactive, self-motivated and able to effectively prioritise
*Comfortable working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
*A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
*A collaborative team player with a continuous improvement mindset
