Murex Techno Functional Consultant
Location: London (Remote)
Client: ETRM Consultancy
Contract Type: Up to £600 per day Outside IR35
Start Date: ASAP
Role Overview:
Our client, a leading ETRM consultancy, is seeking a Murex Developer with strong technical and functional expertise to support and enhance Murex implementations across financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Murex Datamart, Exchange and Contract workflows, and Control-M batch processing, combined with a solid understanding of FX and derivatives markets.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and maintain Murex components including MXML formulas, Datamart reports, and trade workflows.
*Lead and support Murex version upgrades and system integrations.
*Optimize batch processing using Control-M and improve margin run performance.
*Implement trade compression and portfolio margining solutions.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine business requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
*Conduct performance testing and capacity analysis.
*Participate in agile ceremonies and act as Scrum Lead when required.
Required Skills & Experience:
*5+ years of Murex development experience, ideally within FX or derivatives clearing.
*Proficiency in Murex MXML, Datamart, Oracle SQL, Unix scripting.
*Experience with Control-M, Jenkins, GitHub/Bitbucket, and CI/CD pipelines.
*Strong understanding of FX, derivatives, and margining concepts.
*Familiarity with AWS, IBM MQ, and monitoring tools like Geneos.
*Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.
*Agile methodology experience (Scrum/Kanban).
