Stores Supervisor Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to £38,000
Hours: Monday–Friday (Early Finish Fridays!)
Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and successful manufacturing business based in Leeds in their search for a Stores Supervisor to join their busy operations team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Stores professional to take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores department, ensuring materials and components are managed efficiently to support smooth production operations.
The Role: You will be responsible for supervising a small team, managing stock accuracy, and driving continuous improvement within the stores and logistics function. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a well-organised, safe, and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the daily operations of the stores department
* Supervise and support stores personnel to achieve departmental targets
* Ensure accurate stock control and inventory management
* Coordinate goods in/out, ensuring materials are booked and stored correctly
* Work closely with production and procurement teams to maintain material flow
* Promote best practice in health & safety and lean warehouse processes
* Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
Skills & Experience: * Proven experience in a Stores / Warehouse Supervisory role, ideally within manufacturing or engineering
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Good working knowledge of stock control systems (ERP / MRP experience desirable)
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
* Forklift Truck licence (Counterbalance or Reach) advantageous
