The purpose of the role is to maintain financial integrity, support the operational team, and ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll. Duties to include but not limited to:
*Managing and processing several monthly payrolls across multiple entities
*Managing a small team
*Ensuring compliance with PAYE, NI, pensions, and statutory deductions
*Dealing with payroll queries
*Overseeing staff expense claims
*Supporting short-term cash flow forecasting and payroll-related accounting
*Collaborating with HR, site managers, and external auditors
*Other ad hoc duties as required
The person:
*Previous payroll experience within a medium to large business is essential
*Strong communication skills are essential
*You will be able to demonstrate reliability, integrity, and a calm approach under pressure
*You will have a drive to improve systems and processes
