SEN Teaching Assistant – Specialist Setting

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex needs? We are seeking an experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist educational setting located in Sheffield.
This setting provides tailored education and support for pupils with a range of high needs, including those who are non-verbal, require personal care, and benefit from a highly structured and nurturing environment. The school caters for children and young people with autism, severe learning difficulties, and associated communication and sensory needs.
Key Responsibilities:
*Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with complex needs.
*Assist with personal care routines in a respectful and dignified manner.
*Support pupils in developing communication, social, and life skills.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
*Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Essential Requirements:
*Proven experience working with pupils with high needs, including non-verbal communication and personal care.
*A calm, patient, and resilient approach to supporting children with challenging behaviours.
*Strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
