Location - Remote, covering the South West

As a Registered Area Manager, you will:


*Provide strategic and operational leadership for fostering services across a wide region
*Manage recruitment, supervision, and development of staff in line with best practice
*Ensure safeguarding and child protection practices meet statutory requirements
*Drive quality assurance and regulatory compliance, achieving Good or above in inspections
*Oversee budgets, business planning, and foster carer retention strategies
*Build strong partnerships with local authorities and external agencies
*Promote engagement with children and young people, ensuring their voices shape services


To be successful as a Registered Area Manager, you will:


*Social Work qualification (DipSW/CQSW/Degree) and Social Work England registration
*Level 5 Management qualification (or willingness to complete within 3 years)
*Proven experience in fostering, adoption, or family placement settings
*Strong leadership and people management skills across diverse teams
*Knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and trauma-informed practice
*Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting and business development
*Ability to travel extensively and participate in out-of-hours service


In return, my client are offering a salary of up to £63,000 per annum, depending on experience. Please note, this is a full-time permanent position, offered on a remote working basis, however, you must be based in the South West!
