Job Description:
We’re partnering with a respected insurance broker in the Bolton area to find a Commercial Team Leader. This role is a fantastic opportunity to manage an established portfolio of clients while taking on additional responsibility to lead the Commercial Account Handling team by example.
You will work closely with Account Executives to deliver expert servicing and technical support across a diverse range of complex commercial accounts. This role suits a professional who thrives on managing commercial risks and building strong client relationships.
The Commercial Team Leader role:
*Team Leadership: Oversee and support a team of Commercial Account Handlers, ensuring high standards of client service and technical accuracy.
*Work Allocation: Distribute workloads effectively, monitor progress, and maintain balanced capacity across the team.
*Client Relationship Management: Support the handling of key commercial accounts, assisting with renewals, mid-term adjustments, and day-to-day enquiries.
*Technical Support: Provide guidance on complex commercial policies, cover queries, and market placement to ensure quality outcomes.
*Performance Management: Conduct regular one-to-ones, set objectives, and identify training or development needs within the team.
*Quality Control: Review documentation, correspondence, and policy records to ensure accuracy, compliance, and professional presentation.
*Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline procedures, enhance efficiency, and improve client satisfaction.
*Collaboration: Work closely with Account Executives, insurers, and other internal teams to support retention and growth of the client portfolio.
*Compliance: Ensure all activities meet FCA requirements and internal compliance standards.
*Reporting: Provide regular updates to management on team performance, workflow, and client outcomes.
What we’re looking for:
*Commercial Account Handling: Experience managing complex commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, endorsements, mid-term adjustments, and client liaison.
*Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (liability, property, professional indemnity, etc.), policy wording, and coverage.
*Client Relationship Management: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and insurers.
*Process & Performance Management: Experience setting objectives, monitoring workflows, or implementing process improvements.
*Compliance & Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FCA regulations, internal procedures, and risk management principles.
