Vehicle Workshop Technician - 8541
Location: Slough
Hours: Full time, 42.5 hours per week
Reporting to: Workshop Manager
Sector: Technical / Engineering / Commercial Vehicles
Salary: £37,000 to £42,000 DOE
A leading organisation in the specialist vehicle sector is currently seeking a skilled Workshop Technician to join their high-performing service team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional to work within a well-equipped workshop environment, providing expert repair and maintenance services on a range of specialist vehicles and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:*Perform servicing and repairs to a high standard, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and with attention to detail.
*Diagnose faults using appropriate methods and tools, delivering effective technical solutions.
*Liaise regularly with the Workshop Manager and other team members to update on job progress and technical findings.
*Complete all job-related paperwork, including service reports and timesheets, in a timely and accurate manner.
*Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace, reflecting the professionalism expected of a Workshop Technician.
*Promote parts and service solutions when appropriate, supporting wider team objectives.
*Report any recurring technical issues or market insights to ensure continuous product and service improvement.
*Foster a ’right first time’ culture within the team, contributing positively to the overall workshop environment.
About You:*You’ll have proven experience as a Workshop Technician, ideally working with commercial or specialist vehicles.
*Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
*Able to work independently while maintaining high safety standards.
*Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
*A reliable team player with a positive attitude and willingness to take on varied tasks.
