Job Description:
Financial Accountant
*Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
*Location: Central London
*Salary: £57,500 - £62,500 per annum plus benefits, depending on experience
Reed Finance are partnering with a well-established real estate investment and property management firm on the recruitment for a Financial Accountant to join their experienced financial reporting team. This role will contribute to delivering accurate and timely financial information to key stakeholders.
This role is ideal for a newly qualified mid-sized practice trained accountant with an interest in property, taking their first role outside practice who has experience within producing financial statements and in accounts preparation.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare statutory and non-statutory financial statements for Trusts, Partnerships, and Limited Companies on an interim and annual basis, including consolidations, cash flow statements, statement of changes in equity, and tax reconciliation notes.
*Own the resolution of external auditor’s queries.
*Perform trust and corporate tax computations, prepare VAT returns and compliance, and maintain Capital Allowance for development expenditure.
*Manage day-to-day relationships with service providers and perform nominal ledger reviews and reconciliations.
*Handle ad hoc duties as they arise.
*Support the FP&A team with budgeting and forecasting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Fully Qualified Accountant - ACA / ACCA.
*Proficiency in working on an accounts production software.
*Must have experience producing financial statements.
*Good understanding of FRS102 and a working knowledge of VAT.
*Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, ability to manage workload and prioritise to meet deadlines, and strong team player attributes.
*Proficiency in CCH accounts production software is desirable
*Working knowledge of income tax and capital gains tax, is advantageous
*Knowledge of partial exemption for VAT in relation to the property industry would be highly desirable
*Property sector experience or qualification within an Accounting Practice, is highly desirable
