Business Development Manager
*Location: Central London
*Salary Range: £50,000 to £70,000 depending on experience

We are seeking a relationship-focused and tech-savvy Business Development Manager to join our client’s growing Business Development team. This pivotal role aims to expand their presence in the inhaled drug delivery sector by cultivating long-term partnerships and enhancing client engagement. The ideal candidate will be passionate about advancing inhaled therapies, attentive to client needs, and skilled in building trust to foster collaboration and deliver value.
Day-to-day of the role:
Strategic Engagement & Outreach
*Identify and explore market opportunities in the field of inhaled drug delivery.
*Engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers, gathering contact information and business insights.
*Initiate thoughtful outreach through various channels such as email, phone, conferences, whitepapers, newsletters, and social platforms, focusing on value-driven conversations.
*Coordinate and participate in client meetings, presentations, proposal drafting, and delivery.
Client Relationship Development
*Build and nurture strong, trust-based relationships with both prospective and existing clients.
*Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, aligning solutions with their goals to meet their needs.
*Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to foster meaningful connections.
AI-Enhanced Collaboration
*Utilize AI tools like Microsoft Copilot to better understand therapies, markets, prospects, and clients, thereby streamlining workflows and enhancing client communications.
*Promote the use of digital tools to improve productivity and client engagement.
Market Intelligence & Insight Sharing
*Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
*Share insights with internal teams to aid product development and marketing strategies.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Product Development to ensure offerings align with client expectations.
Reporting & Strategy
*Maintain accurate records in CRM systems and generate reports on client engagement, market trends, and strategic opportunities.
*Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to the Executive team.
Required Skills & Qualifications
*Experience in client relationship engagement and management, preferably within the inhaled drug delivery sector, or a strong desire to become an expert in this field.
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative approach.
*Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar platforms.
*Proficiency in CRM systems and digital collaboration tools, possibly Insightly and Monday.com.
*Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
*Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable to changing client needs.
*Bachelor’s degree (2:1 or above) in a scientific discipline such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Pharmaceutical Science.
*Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
