About the Role
Recruit UK is recruiting a Senior Paraplanner on behalf of a leading wealth management team in Cambridge. In this role, you will take a senior position within the paraplanning team, providing guidance to junior colleagues while supporting Wealth Planners in delivering complex financial planning advice.
Your focus will be on producing client-centric suitability reports, coordinating technical research, and ensuring all communications meet compliance standards. You will also play a key role in improving processes, coaching new team members, and sharing best practice across the team.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare detailed suitability reports and client correspondence for complex cases
*Conduct calculations, cash-flow modelling, and research to support Wealth Planners
*Act as a reference point for team queries and provide guidance to junior paraplanners
*Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring of new team members
*Identify areas for future advice and support Wealth Planners in planning next steps
*Contribute to efficiency improvements and best practice sharing within the team
Requirements / Skills
*Proven experience handling complex financial planning cases and producing suitability reports
*RQF Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent)
*Progressing towards Advanced Diploma or Chartered Financial Planner status (desirable)
*Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with XPlan and cashflow software desired
*Strong team leadership, collaboration, and coaching skills
