Senior Bookkeeper
Location: Coventry
Salary: £30,000 – £38,000 per annum (DOE)

About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-friendly accounting firm in Coventry. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join a supportive team that values work-life balance and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
*Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping.
*Maintain financial records including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
*Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
*Process payroll and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations.
*Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
*Produce management reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet).
*Liaise with clients to resolve queries and provide proactive advice.
*Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements.
Skills & Experience
*AAT qualified or equivalent experience.
*Minimum 3–5 years’ bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice.
*Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).
*Strong knowledge of UK accounting principles and VAT.
*Excellent communication and organizational skills.
