As a Software Engineer, you will help develop and maintain cloud-native applications that power a major trading platform. You’ll work across the full stack with a focus on TypeScript, React, AWS and modern engineering practices. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with established commercial experience who is ready to take the next step in a supportive, collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
*Build and run AWS cloud-native applications using TypeScript and React.
*Establish and maintain automated tests across unit, integration, and end-to-end levels.
*Write high-quality, secure, performant code aligned with modern engineering standards.
*Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality digital client journeys.
*Advocate for continuous improvement across ways of working, quality, security, performance and CI/CD.
Skills & Experience:
*Commercial experience developing full-stack TypeScript applications using React on the front end.
*Hands-on experience with cloud environments and Infrastructure-as-Code, alongside foundational CI/CD knowledge.
*Experience working with automated testing tools such as Jest, Cypress or Backstop.
*Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, documentation, versioning and mocking.
*Experience contributing to code reviews and working within Agile delivery environments.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a starting salary up to £65,000 (DOE) and a remote-first working model.
