Job Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimising cloud-native applications and content-driven experiences using TypeScript, Node.js, and React. You will be a technical leader within a cross-functional team; shaping architecture, driving engineering best practice, and helping to accelerate the organisation’s transition to a modern CMS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
*Architect, build, and maintain full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
*Provide technical direction by contributing to design decisions, architectural options, and solution trade-offs.
*Lead improvements to automated testing practices, ensuring robust unit, integration, and E2E test coverage.
*Drive enhancements in CI/CD, release pipelines, and DevOps workflows to enable rapid, reliable delivery.
*Mentor, coach, and upskill engineers while promoting high-quality engineering standards across the team.
Skills & Experience:
*Strong experience with Node.js, React, and Next.js.
*Professional experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
*Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
*Understanding of RESTful API design, microservices, and modern web application architecture.
*Experience with mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
*Excellent collaboration, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a team.
This is a full-time, permanent role offering a starting salary up to £80,000 (DOE) and a remote-first working model.
