We are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school team in Croydon. This role is ideal for someone passionate about providing educational support to students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the head teacher and class teachers.
*Support students with special educational needs and disabilities in their learning activities in the classroom.
*Adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
*Create a supportive and inclusive environment to help students integrate more effectively into mainstream classes.
*Work closely with teachers to tailor learning plans for students and monitor their progress.
*Assist with the development of social skills by supporting students during school activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably with SEND students.
*Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
*Patience, creativity, and a compassionate approach towards students.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under the guidance of teachers.
