Part-Time Finance Manager
Salary: £18-20 per hour
Location: Gateshead

We are working on behalf of our client to recruit an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to join a privately owned family retail business at their Head Office in Gateshead. This part-time role (approximately 16–21 hours per week) offers flexibility and the opportunity to take ownership of financial operations within a dynamic retail environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing new systems and procedures, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the business through seasonal peaks.
Key Responsibilities:
*Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts
*Complete VAT returns and bank reconciliations
*Oversee stock control and EPOS system
*Reconcile stock control system to Sage Accounts
*Manage payroll processes
*Maintain directors’ loan accounts and cash management
*Process purchase and sales ledgers
*Perform control account reconciliations
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Significant experience in accountancy
*AAT Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)
*Proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll
*Knowledge of stock control and EPOS systems
*Strong Microsoft Excel skills
*Ability to work independently and implement new processes
