Reed Recruitment are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team responsible for end-to-end design, prototyping, testing, and delivery of innovative packaging solutions for advanced products. This role is critical to supporting both product development and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
*Collaborate with mechanical and packaging engineers to capture requirements, design, test, document, and release packaging solutions.
*Test-fit packaging containers to ensure accurate fit and work closely with stakeholders to identify special handling and safety requirements.
*Perform tasks with minimal supervision, applying strong project management practices to meet deadlines.
*Advocate for efficient packaging procedures, materials, and protective systems with internal teams and suppliers.
*Maintain and manage supplier relationships as part of the broader packaging engineering team.
Qualifications
*Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Packaging Engineering.
*Proficiency in CAD (CREO Parametric 3D and Intralink software a plus)
*Strong engineering fundamentals, including design principles, material selection, and packaging fabrication methods.
*Knowledge of electronic or clean-room packaging is desirable.
