Finance Assistant
Permanent
Part Time - 20 hours a week over 4 or 5 days
Based in Brighton (remote working - twice a month in the Brighton office)
£30,000 – £35.000 per annum, pro rata

Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join a forward thinking marketing company in the Brighton area on a part time, permanent contract.
In this role, you will support the Finance Team by providing essential financial administrative assistance and ensuring that accounting functions run smoothly on a daily basis.
Your responsibilities will include handling accounts payable and receivable tasks, entering important data into accounting systems, maintaining spreadsheets and reports and gathering informations for both the Finance team and other Team members.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing supplier invoices
*Preparing payment run and setting up supplier payments, sending out remittances
*Resolving supplier queries
*Processing, querying and tracking staff expenses and setting up payments
*Raising invoices against client related costs
*Creating new clients on the system and updating client details
*Credit control
*Processing and reconciling company credit cards
*Daily/monthly bank reconciliations
*Processing month-end journals, Prepayments, salaries etc.
*Processing intercompany transactions.
*Assisting with general administrative duties
Key Requirements:
*Previous experience working in a finance team, ideally in a similar role including sales ledger
*Experience with Xero account system and Excel skills
*Understanding of the UK VAT
*Ability to work on own initiative, organise and prioritise
