We’re supporting a well-established organisation in Burton-on-Trent who are looking for a Finance-focused Project Analyst to join them on a 6-month FTC. This role will play a key part in supporting a business-critical finance project, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and effective delivery across the project lifecycle.
Working closely with the Finance Manager and Project Lead, you’ll provide analytical, financial and reporting support to help the project stay on track and deliver clear, data-driven outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
*Supporting financial modelling, forecasting and variance analysis
*Helping to track project budgets, spend and cost allocations
*Producing financial reports, dashboards and KPI summaries
*Monitoring project progress, risks and deliverables
*Gathering requirements, documenting processes and ensuring governance standards are met
*Assisting with data migration, system changes or process improvements (depending on project scope)
*Providing general analytical support to the finance project team
Ideally you will have:
*Experience in a finance, FP&A, project accounting or analytical role
*Strong Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data manipulation)
*Confidence working with financial data and interpreting trends
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
*A proactive, problem-solving approach
*Experience supporting projects, system changes or process improvement initiatives (desirable)
Part-qualified or qualified by experience candidates are welcome.
