Job Title: Mobile Warden
Starting Salary: £15.32 per hour
Hours: 2 x 8-hour days per week
(Each 8-hour day is followed by a 16-hour standby duty, paid as a fixed amount in addition to the salary)
About the Role
The Mobile Warden role provide an essential emergency response service to vulnerable residents in the community—24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. This role offers peace of mind to service users and their families, and you’ll be part of a small, passionate team delivering a vital service to sheltered housing and community alarm clients across Welwyn Hatfield.
You’ll work your 8-hour day out in the community, followed by a 16-hour standby from home, responding to emergencies as required.

*Contact relevant services and family members when needed.
*Maintain records to ensure up-to-date information.
*Promote independence, dignity, security, privacy, and wellbeing for all residents.
*Prioritise workload and make clear decisions, sometimes under challenging circumstances.
About You

*Can drive and has access to a car
*Calm, empathetic, and proactive in challenging situations.
*Able to communicate clearly and confidently with members of the public.
*Organised and capable of making decisions under pressure.
Essential Requirements:
*Current driving licence and access to a car.
*Ability to converse at ease in accurate spoken English.
*Willing to undertake a DBS check
