Non Domestic Energy Assessor
Fully Remote
A UK-based sustainability consultancy is seeking an experienced Energy Assessor to join its expanding technical team. In this role, you’ll work across a wide range of domestic and commercial developments, delivering energy modelling, compliance assessments, and technical guidance from early design stages through to final project delivery.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in building energy modelling or sustainability consultancy
* Proficiency with SAP/SBEM software such as IES-VE, Elmhurst, or equivalent
* Ability to undertake:
* SAP and SBEM assessments
* EPC production (domestic + non-domestic)
* Overheating assessments (TM59/TM52)
* Energy Statements for planning
* Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients, architects, planners, and design teams
* Ability to manage workloads across multiple projects and deliver accurate, compliant outputs
Desirable Criteria * Experience with BREEAM (Assessor or AP)
* Familiarity with OneClick LCA, TM54, or energy auditing (ESOS)
* Experience contributing to Whole Life-Cycle Carbon or Circular Economy assessments
* Understanding of Decarbonisation and Net Zero reporting
* Knowledge of Daylight/Sunlight or natural ventilation modelling
* Interest in mentoring junior team members or supporting internal technical development
