We are excited to be recruiting for a skilled Paraplanner to join a professional and supportive wealth management team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Independent Financial Advisers, managing a varied caseload across retirement planning, investments, and tax-efficient strategies. You will provide crucial technical support, enabling advisers to focus on building strong client relationships while ensuring the delivery of accurate and compliant advice.
The Role
As a Paraplanner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical research, report preparation, and client support. You will ensure all reports and recommendations are FCA-compliant, accurate, and tailored to clients’ objectives. The role requires a strong balance between technical knowledge, attention to detail, and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
*Technical Research & Analysis
*Conduct in-depth research on pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning.
*Analyse client fact-finds, risk assessments, and cashflow models.
*Report Writing
*Prepare FCA-compliant suitability reports and recommendations.
*Ensure reports are accurate, clear, and aligned with client objectives.
*Client Support
*Liaise with advisers, providers, and clients to gather and verify information.
*Assist in preparing supporting documentation for client meetings.
*Compliance & Standards
*Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations and Treating Customers Fairly (TCF).
*Ensure all advice meets regulatory and company standards.
*Workflow Management
*Manage multiple cases efficiently and prioritise deadlines.
*Support advisers with technical queries and planning scenarios.
Requirements
*Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Paraplanner in an IFA or wealth management environment.
*Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent) preferred or working towards.
*Skills:
*Strong technical knowledge of UK financial products (pensions, investments, tax).
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*High attention to detail and strong organisational ability.
*Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., Intelliflo, FE Analytics).
