Insurance Business Analyst

We’re looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Analyst to join our growing Change & Transformation function. This role offers the opportunity to shape the way our business operates, working across multiple teams to deliver innovation, efficiency, and lasting impact.
About the Role
As a key member of the Business Change team, you’ll act as the vital link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams - ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, effectively documented, and successfully translated into real solutions.
You’ll be instrumental in supporting both strategic and operational change initiatives, with a strong focus on business process improvement, operating model design, and change delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the end-to-end requirements gathering process, from stakeholder engagement through to documentation and validation.

* Map, analyse, and redesign business processes and operating models to identify opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

* Facilitate workshops with business subject matter experts to capture requirements and drive consensus on future-state solutions.

* Collaborate closely with IT and project delivery teams to translate business needs into technical requirements and functional specifications.

* Conduct gap analysis and support solution design and testing.

* Play an active role in business change readiness, including training support, process documentation, and embedding new ways of working.

* Support the delivery of projects through effective planning, risk management, and progress reporting.

* Promote a culture of continuous improvement and contribute to lessons-learned activities to optimise delivery outcomes.

About You
You’ll bring strong analytical capability, stakeholder management skills, and a passion for driving change.
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst within change and transformation projects.

* Skilled in process analysis, mapping, and business process re-engineering.

* Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.

* Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

* Proficient in MS Office and process mapping tools (e.g. Visio).

* Demonstrated experience in the insurance or financial services sector is advantageous.

Desirable:
* Knowledge of Agile and/or SAFe methodologies.

* Understanding of data governance, Solvency II, or automation technologies (RPA, AI).

* BCS Diploma in Business Analysis or equivalent qualification.
