Finance Manager

Are you ready to take on a dynamic role that grows with you? We are looking for a proactive Management Accountant to join our team in Croydon. This position offers the opportunity to shape the financial strategy of the business, ensuring sustainability and efficiency across all operations.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Monitor and manage budgets, ensuring strict adherence to expenditure limits and agreed financial parameters.
*Engage in regular budget meetings, providing crucial financial advice to budget holders.
*Report any significant variances or potential financial issues directly to the CFO.
*Conduct regular monitoring and reporting of key financial metrics, identifying any material variances.
*Assist the CFO in preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts, as well as in forecasting and budgeting processes.
*Work closely with the Senior Finance Manager during the monthly financial close-down, including journal postings and account reconciliations.
*Lead the quarterly forecasting cycle and support the annual budget setting process.
*Aid in cash flow forecasting and the development of deficit recovery plans.
*Respond to and support business managers with system technical and operational queries.
*Collaborate in developing and implementing more efficient financial processes and support year-end preparation and audit activities.
*Maintain robust financial practices to ensure the business meets its financial objectives and achieves value for money in all activities.
*Provide support to other finance team members as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Qualified or part-qualified in a relevant field.
*Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management accounting role.
