Job Title: School Site Supervisor
Location: Garstang
Hours: Monday-Friday (split shift)
6:00am - 9:00am & 3:00pm - 6:00pm
Pay: £17.50 per hour
Contract: Temp to Permanent
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Site Supervisor to support the smooth running and safety of the school site. This role involves maintaining the school building, ensuring health & safety standards are met, opening & locking the site, and carrying out basic repairs / maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
*Open and secure the school site daily
*Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and caretaking duties
*Conduct routine checks including alarm testing, fire safety checks and water temperature checks
*Support with contractors on site and monitor access
*Ensure the school building, grounds and facilities are safe and well-presented at all times
*Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and general caretaking tasks
*Report any hazards, repairs or safeguarding concerns appropriately
Requirements:
*Previous experience in a school environment or in a similar building/site maintenance role (essential)
*Ability to use initiative and work independently
*Must hold a current DBS or be willing to obtain one
*Must be willing to undergo full reference checks prior to starting
*Knowledge of basic maintenance, health & safety checks and alarm testing (fire alarms / intruder alarms)
*Reliable, punctual and committed to working the split shift hours stated
