Interim Financial Controller
Leeds
Hybrid - Fully site based
£70k - £80k
12 Month FTC
Elevation Recruitment are working with a great business based in Leeds, who’re looking to recruit a Financial Controller. As FC you will lead a small finance team and take ownership of day-to-day financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is confident managing people, processes, and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
*Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
*Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning processes.
*Ensure compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
*Maintain accurate financial records and oversee internal controls.
*Support strategic decision-making with financial insights and analysis.
*Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and reporting.
*Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to support business goals.
*Oversee risk management, including FX and insurance.
*Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
About You:
*Qualified accountant (ACA preferred, though ACCA/CIMA also considered)
*Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar role
*Strong technical knowledge, including statutory reporting and audit
*Confident team manager with good people leadership skills
*Advanced Excel skills
