Semi-Senior Accountant - Practice
*Annual Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 dependant on experience
*Location: Liverpool
*Job Type: Hybrid (3 days office-based, 2 days work from home)
Join a forward-thinking and independent ICAEW-registered firm as a Semi-Senior Accountant. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in accountancy practice, ideally progressing towards or having recently qualified in AAT or ACCA. You will be part of a supportive team, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Prepare year-end accounts for both incorporated and unincorporated entities under UK GAAP, including FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, and FRS 105.
*Draft corporation tax computations and returns, finalised by our in-house tax department.
*Prepare VAT returns and management accounts.
*Handle bookkeeping tasks and assist with digital record-keeping for Making Tax Digital (MTD).
*Gain exposure to specialist entities such as pension schemes, trusts, and solicitors.
*Liaise directly with clients and support junior team members.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Minimum of three years’ relevant experience in an accountancy practice.
*Studying towards or recently qualified in AAT, or at the early stages of ACCA qualification.
*Experience with Xero and TaxCalc is advantageous but not essential.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
