Job Description:
Nursery EYFS Teacher
*Contract Term: Temporary (2 January - 8 July 2026)
*Permanent position for the right candidate
*Location: Near Malvern
*Job Type: Full-time
We are seeking an experienced EYFS Teacher to lead a nursery. This role is ideal for a proactive early years specialist who is able to provide a fresh outlook on the nursery setting and engage effectively with parents. Experience in the independent sector is highly desirable. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds in a supportive environment with the assistance of an EYFS Teaching Assistant.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Lead the nursery setting, ensuring a high standard of education and care.
*Plan, prepare, and deliver educational activities that foster the children’s learning and development.
*Collaborate with the wider Prep team to integrate educational objectives.
*Engage with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s progress and needs.
*Supervise and work collaboratively with the EYFS Teaching Assistant to manage the classroom effectively.
*Conduct PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) activities to ensure the curriculum meets the children’s needs.
*Oversee a small group of up to 20 children, with a maximum of 12 at one time, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Proven experience as an EYFS Teacher, ideally within the independent sector.
*Strong ability to lead and innovate within an early years setting.
*Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
*Ability to plan and implement effective child-centred learning activities.
*Prepared to undertake PPA responsibilities.
*A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to developing young minds.
