Job Description:
Credit Controller
Location: Ashford / Canterbury / Herne Bay
Salary: Up to £26,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join their Finance and Administration team. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, you will be responsible for the efficient collection of outstanding monies and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
*Liaise with fee earners on overdue bills and maintain accurate records.
*Send statements, reminder letters, and seven-day letters to clients.
*Process credit card payments and log incoming cheques.
*Manage client-to-office and client-to-client transfers.
*Assist with instalment payments via standing orders or online platforms.
*Update the practice management system with all actions undertaken.
*Support debt recovery proceedings when necessary.
What We’re Looking For:
*Recent experience in accounts or credit control, ideally within the legal industry.
*Familiarity with Solicitors Accounts Rules and practice management systems.
*Strong understanding of the conveyancing process.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Proactive attitude with the ability to balance priorities and meet deadlines.
*High attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.
