Job Description:
Our client is one of the leading companies in interactive entertainment industry, well-established worldwide with headquarters in Japan.
We’re currently recruiting a Senior Business Analyst (Japanese speaking) to join their friendly and professional team in London.
The job holder is to support the Corporate Planning team in strengthening the company’s analytical capabilities, with a focus on developing expertise in pricing, geography, demographics, and product features across our game portfolio. The position acts as a key link between the European Corporate Planning team and the Japanese headquarters, ensuring effective communication, alignment of strategy, and delivery of high-quality business insights to inform decision-making. Also supporting the Corporate Planning Manager across a variety of analytical and strategic initiatives, delivering accurate, data-driven analysis and contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, and supporting the wider Corporate Planning agenda by ensuring that insights, data, and recommendations are effectively integrated into business and financial planning activities.
Job description:
Analysis & Insights
*Deliver high-quality business analysis within Corporate Planning, contributing to key strategic and financial initiatives.
*Conduct detailed analyses of market trends, pricing strategies, demographics, geographic performance, and product features.
*Provide actionable insights to support strategic, commercial, and financial planning.
*Develop and maintain analytical frameworks to evaluate business performance and identify growth opportunities.
*Ensure high accuracy and consistency in data interpretation and presentation.
Reporting & Performance Management
*Prepare and deliver regular analytical reports, dashboards, and performance reviews for senior management.
*Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and business metrics across regions and products.
*Conduct variance analysis and evaluate trends to support planning, forecasting, and performance reviews.
*Support the preparation of strategic and financial presentations for management meetings.
Business Support & Collaboration
*Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to integrate analytical findings into strategic initiatives.
*Provide analytical support for pricing decisions, product launches, and regional market strategies.
*Contribute to the development and enhancement of forecasting and planning tools.
*Support cross-functional projects requiring detailed data analysis and scenario modelling.
Communication & Coordination
*Act as a key liaison between the European Corporate Planning team and the Japanese headquarters, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
*Ensure alignment of analysis and reporting standards across regions.
*Facilitate smooth communication and collaboration between European and Japanese teams to support unified business strategies.
*Provide clear and concise updates to senior management on ongoing analytical work and insights.
Requirements:
*Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or corporate planning, ideally within the gaming or entertainment industry.
*Strong understanding of pricing strategies, market research, and business performance analysis.
*High level of proficiency in analytical and visualisation tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, Tableau) and financial modelling techniques.
*Solid grasp of data interpretation, forecasting, and scenario analysis.
*Experience collaborating across regions or international offices; familiarity with Japanese business culture a distinct advantage.
*Degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline (Master’s or professional qualification advantageous).
*Business level of English AND Japanese language
