A respected and independent construction and property consultancy is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established team in central London. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a confident and capable Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the lead on a range of cost management commissions across a diverse UK project portfolio.
The appointed Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for delivering full pre- and post-contract services on projects across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, and industrial sheds. Working closely with clients, consultants, and contractors, you will manage cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and reporting, ensuring that each scheme is delivered in line with budget, quality and programme expectations.
This position is ideal for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with solid UK consultancy experience who is now ready to take on more leadership responsibilities, while supporting the growth and development of junior colleagues in a collaborative team environment.
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Key Duties:
* Delivering cost consultancy services across all project stages
* Preparing cost estimates, tender documents and contract packages
* Managing procurement processes and contractor negotiations
* Providing accurate cost reports, risk analysis and change control
* Advising on value engineering and commercial strategies
* Leading client meetings and mentoring junior surveyors
Senior Quantity Surveyor - Candidate Profile:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a closely related construction field
* MRICS qualified or actively working towards chartership
* Strong consultancy background with relevant UK project experience
* Sound knowledge of cost planning, procurement and contract administration
* Experience in sectors such as commercial, education, healthcare or industrial (sheds)
* Excellent communication skills with a professional and proactive approach
